Chillington
Hall, the magnificent Stately Home in South Staffordshire, is
delighted to be opening its doors once again for the annual Food
and Country Fair on Sunday 19thth July between 10am and 5pm. This
year, in addition to the wide variety of food on offer there is a
new section for crafts people.
The Food Fair
is organised in conjunction with South Staffordshire Tourism
Association and South Staffordshire District Council and looks set
to be a fantastic family day out.
Over 50 stalls
of local produce will be on display with the chance to sample local
delicacies from businesses such as Beez Neez honey, Essington Fruit
Farm, and tasty treats from the Leek Beer & Cheese Company and Mr
Simms old fashioned Sweet Shoppe to name but a few!
And if that’s
not enough to stimulate your appetite there will be a wide variety
of refreshments available including a Hog Roast, Chillington Lamb
burgers from Bill Maiden the butcher and traditional cream teas and
cakes from Stafford Country Markets.
In addition to
all this fabulous food on offer there will be lots of activities for
everyone; a Classic car and motorbike exhibition, Punch and Judy
shows, donkey rides, an Archery display, Colonel Bagot’s Medieval
Combat society, the Albrighton Hunt, Dancing Dogs and the
opportunity for young and old to learn some Circus skills.
Admission
Prices are £5 for an Adult; £2 for a Child (up to 13 yrs) and £12
for a family (2 adults and 2 children).
Chillington is
situated on Port Lane, between Brewood and Codsall and is easily
accessible from the A5.
Any local
businesses wishing to join the South Staffordshire Tourism
Association can do so on the day, with membership fees starting from
just as little as £40 a year.
