We are fortunate in this part of the country to have stunning country houses and historic attractions all in easy travelling distance. Why not plan a trip and visit one of our neighbours too and make a day of it?
We have close historic links to Boscobel House (English Heritage) as King Charles II was taken here by the Giffard Family to be hidden there by their tenants when he was escaping his defeat at the Battle of Worcester.
Moseley Old Hall (National Trust) was also a key part of the Charles II escape, and at this charming early 17th Century house, you can see the preist hole that the young king sheltered in.
Weston Park is our close neighbour and has glorious grounds designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. Its attractions include an art gallery, adventure playground and places to eat and relax.
